主人公观世彻所属的部队全名为“防卫省超自然灾害对策本部特殊战队第四课”，简称“特战四课”，课里的成员并不依赖先进机器，而是用优厚的条件网罗来的能够见到灵的特殊人材组成。所以这个课的人不论是年龄还是性别都没有统一感，也有点非法的感觉。
四课的特务小队由特务11、特务33、特务55、特务77号组成。
