两千年以前 在名为奥尔德兰特的星球上，围绕着拥有「星之记忆」（从星球诞生到毁灭的记忆）的第七音素展开了持久的乱战。
经过长期的战争，不仅是人类，连星球本身都成了荒芜一片，大规模的地壳运动使大地产生了含毒的“障气”。
拥有咏唱第七音素来获取星之记忆能力的天才谱术士尤莉亚·乔艾，根据咏唱中获取的记忆——预言，把障气封印到地下深处，成功避免了星球的灭亡。
但是，尤莉亚伟大的功绩也使得人们盲目信仰预言，人们逐渐被以维护尤莉亚的教导为宗旨的洛雷莱教团所发表的预言支配了。
而现在——
世界大分为吉姆拉斯卡·兰巴尔迪亚王国和马尔科特帝国这两大国，在许多不稳定因素之下保持着和平。
但是，在洛雷莱教团的乾部才能知道的星球预言的引导下，世界又将要迎来战乱的时代……
自从7年前遭人诱拐过，就在家里被强制惯以软禁生活的法布雷公爵家的坏孩子卢克，平时跟着洛雷莱教团主席总长范学习剑术，然而某天教团兵的少女缇雅前来袭击范却和卢克产生了超振动，两人一起飞到了敌国马尔科特帝国。
因为失去了被人诱拐之前的记忆，初次接触到外面世界的卢克掩藏不住自己的吃惊和疑惑。
在缇雅的帮助下卢克走上了返回故乡吉姆拉斯卡之路。然而途中却被马尔科特的军人杰伊德所捕获，并与马尔科特国王皮奥尼九世所派来的和平特使——洛雷莱教团最高指挥者导师伊昂相遇。
可是，洛雷莱教团中不满和平的右翼分子派出六神将来袭击伊昂。
在卢克前进的路上，等待他的是左右星球命运的可怕的谋略……
